84, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Casacalenda. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Donato and Mary (Procaccini) Mansolillo. Josephine was employed by the US Naval Construction Battalion Station, Davisville, and Veterans Administration Hospital, Providence as a payroll key punch operator before retiring in 1988. She was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School; Class of 1947. Her loves included her late husband, her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and crocheting. She is survived by her loving children, Sandra A. Casacalenda of Cranston and Dr. Anthony L. Casacalenda of North Carolina. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer and Mary, both of North Carolina. She was the sister of Irene DeSanto of West Greenwich, John Mansolillo of Johnston, and the late Louis Mansolillo. Josephine is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
