Josephine A. 'Jo' (Zeoli) Gama
88, of Cranston, passed away at the home of her daughter Louise on Saturday, August 8, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert "Al" Gama. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Zeoli and Louise Gibalerio and her late husband Vincent Gibalerio.
Josephine was first employed as a hairdresser for Antone Beauty Salon. She then worked as an order expeditor for Crest Craft. After retirement, she became a sales associate for Cherry & Webb and JC Penny. Jo was a member of the Senior Citizens of Hope and the Johnston Senior Center. She was an avid Red Sox fan and bingo player. As a widow for 31 years, she is best described as a strong, caring, independent woman. She filled her time maintaining her home and caring for her plants and flowers. There was always a cookie available for the neighborhood dogs and bread crumbs on the walkway for the birds. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She was the devoted mother of Louise A. Denham and her husband Donald of Cranston and Marilyn G. Pratt and her husband Glen of Ellicott City, MD; loving grandmother of Donald III and his wife Kim of Barrington, Michael and his wife Lianne of Cranston and Jenna of MD; loving great-grandmother of Sophia, Cole, Briana, Danika, Michael and Nicholas; and dear sister of the late Gennaro A. "Jerry" Zeoli.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday, August 13th at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Garden Hills Dr., Cranston at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
