Josephine E. (Petrucci) Paliotta

of Cranston passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Damiano C. Paliotta.  Josephine was born in Monticelli, Italy and emigrated to America with her family in 1936.  After a courtship that began in their native Italy, Josephine and Danny enjoyed 45 years of marriage. She was the daughter of the late Marco and Adeline (Moretti) Petrucci.
Josephine is survived by her loving daughters, Marie Rainone and her late husband Richard, Elaine Almagno and her husband Henry, grandchildren Jo-Anne Rainone, Richard Rainone and his wife Keri Rainone, Henry Almagno Jr. and Laura Almagno, and great grandchildren Bennett and David Rainone.  She was also the loving mother of the late Thomas D. Paliotta and sister to the late Albino, Dario, Joseph and Louis Petrucci.
"Nonna Bella," as she is affectionately known, was the matriarch of the family and adored by all.  Her greatest joy was spending time with the people she loved and organizing dinners where she took great pleasure in cooking everyone's favorite dishes. Josephine honored her Italian origins with great humility and pride.  She was the heart and soul of our family.
The funeral and burial in her honor will be private.
