Josephine D. (Madfounian) Panaccione

95, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence.  She was the beloved wife of the late William Panaccione.  Born in Pawtucket, Josephine was a daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Shabo) Madfounian.  Mrs. Panaccione enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her two children William Panaccione of North Providence, and Susan Calestino and her husband Robert of Cranston.  Josephine was the cherished grandmother of Karissa Panaccione, Robert and Gian Calestino, and Lauren Giannini and her husband Louis.  She was the sister of Rose Zukowski of Dennis, MA, Georgianna ”June” Jones of San Antonio, TX and the late Sally Parillo, Isabel White, Joseph and George Metfouney.

Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco’s Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston at 11 a.m.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 4-7 p.m.
