Josephine (Nastasi) Tamburini
of Providence passed away Thursday March 5, 2015. She was the wife of the late Joseph Tamburini.
Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Peter and Rose (Meo) Nastasi.
She was a member of the Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul, Providence.
Josephine is survived by her children; Chief Richard S. Tamburini, J.P.D. and his wife Marie, Roseann Cerbo and her husband Albert all of Johnston; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; she was the sister of the late Joseph, Peter, Rose Nastasi and Martha Taccone.
Josephine was a private person but remarkably she touched many lives. She served as an inspiration to all those whom she encountered. Loyal and devoted to her family, she could always be counted on. She will be missed by her family and all those who were blessed to have her in their lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:30am in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. The family is honoring Josephine's wishes and calling hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the Johnston Police Explorers Program 1651 Atwood Ave. Johnston, RI 02919.
