Josephine M. (Paquette) Wyman, RN

86, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Wyman.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Jessie C. (Harris) Paquette.

Mrs. Wyman graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing.  As a registered nurse and US Navy spouse, she worked on various military bases and hospitals, retiring after a fifty-two year career.

She enjoyed traveling, nursing, listening to music, going to the beach and visiting casinos.  She cherished moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves her four children, William H. Wyman, Jr. of Narragansett, Mark S. Wyman and his wife Karen of Foster, Mary Jo E. Wyman and Lisa A. Wyman and her husband Louis F. Matracia, Jr. all of Narragansett; a brother, Richard Paquette of Scituate; six grandchildren, Kelly Paquete, Jesse Wyman, Louis W. Matracia, Lee Wyman, Joseph Wyman and Michael Matracia; and five great-grandchildren, Gianna Rossi, Asher Wyman, Michael Paquete, Francie Wyman and Lydia Wyman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Potter League for Animals, 87 Oliphant Street, Middletown, RI 02842.
