Joyce A. (Campopiano) Sharpe

84, of Providence, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Sharpe. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Archillo and Anna (Cicilline) Campopiano.

Joyce began her career in the early 1970s as a keypunch operator with BIF in East Greenwich. She later joined Instron Corporation in Canton, MA, where she advanced from computer operator to help desk supervisor and telecommunications supervisor, retiring in 2004. She took great pride in her work and in all that she accomplished.

Family was of the utmost importance to Joyce. She treasured the time she spent with her daughter and grandsons and found joy in cooking and gathering loved ones together.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Julie-Ann DiPiro; her cherished grandsons, Darren and Justin DiPiro; and her beloved brother, Donald Campopiano, and his longtime companion, Kathleen Mellen, and many loving cousins.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 26, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, West Warwick. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
