September 15, 1947 — December 19, 2016

Judith E. (Ott) Dieterle

69, of Warwick, RI, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

She enjoyed spending time with family and did that as much as she could - seeing the people in her life happy meant everything to her.  She was incredibly talented, very creative and quite cleaver, and this showed itself in many ways.  She was a classically trained opera singer and loved singing throughout her entire life.  This gave her and the people around her, great joy.  She also spent countless hours doing crafts and making handmade gifts – calligraphy, dried flower arrangements, ornaments and home decorations – you name it and she could come up with something beautiful, special and unique.  She had a great (and sometimes quite sarcastic!) sense of humor, and an infectious laugh that lit up a room.  Her last days were happy, right where she wanted to be – at home with her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Dieterle.  Born in NY, Judith was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ellen (Schneider) Ott.   She is survived by four daughters, Kim Miller of Bolton, CT, Kristen Dieterle of Warwick, RI, Susan Magrey of Coventry, CT, and Janet Dieterle of Cranston, RI.  Judith was the mother of the late Amy Pare and sister of Douglas Ott and his wife Carolyn of West Milford, NJ, and Aunt to Jenn Metcalf and her husband, Tim, of West Milford, NJ and Julie Hoar and her husband, Phil, of Shaftsbury, VT.  She was also the cherished grandmother of eleven and great grandmother of one.   She was loved by everyone she met and will be greatly missed.  Her funeral services will be private.
