Julia A. (Ricci) "Judy" Iafrate

of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 peacefully at home.  She was the beloved wife of Fred Iafrate.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Palma (Bergantino) Ricci.  Mrs. Iafrate was a clerk for the Johnston School Department and S.D. Barns School for many years, before retiring.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Brenna Russo of Johnston, and her step-children Fred and John Iafrate, both of Johnston.  Judy was the cherished grandmother of Juliana Pires, and step-grandmother of Elisha and Steven Iafrate.  She was the dear sister of Annette Lanni of North Providence and Kathy Gallo of Johnston.

Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston at 9:00 a.m.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS: Friday 4:00-8:00 p.m.
