96, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 15, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Karahalios. Born in Sykia, Greece, she was the daughter of the late John and Dora (Grammas) Stappas.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Maria Richard and her husband Steven of Cranston, and Georgia Parenteau of North Kingstown; cherished grandchildren Alex, Kristen, and Mars; dear brother James Stappas and his wife Anna of Canada. She was the sister of the late Despina Bravakis, George, Nick and Paul Stappas.
Julie worked as a seamstress at William H. Harris Furs for many years. She was a talented cook and faithful parishioner of the Church of the Annunciation. Her greatest joy was being a dedicated and loving mother and yiayia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, December 23rd at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Parish, Cranston, which will be Live-streamed through Nardolillo Funeral Home Facebook page ( http://www.Facebook.com/nardolillofh ). Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence. VISITING HOURS will be Friday, December 22nd from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Parish of Greater Providence, 175 Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.
