82, of Cranston passed away on July 7, 2025. Kathy was the devoted wife of John Manzi Sr. and the cherished mother of John Manzi Jr. and his partner Edward Travers of Bristol, and Michele (Manzi) Kiley and her husband Dan of Cranston. She was the proud and loving Nana of Emma and Ava Kiley as well as Nicholas Manzi.
Kathy graduated from Cranston High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College. She spent the first part of her career as an elementary teacher for Cranston Schools. She then spent many years at home raising her family. Later she worked at Rhode Island Central Credit Union and Citizens Bank before retiring to help care for her biggest joys, her granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her parents John and Mary (Browne) Reidy, brothers David Reidy and Robert Reidy and many brothers and sisters-in-law. She leaves her sister Anne Sepe, brother Sean “Jack” Reidy, sister-in-law Judith Reidy and sister-in-law Marie (Manzi) Santoro as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Kathy loved the simple joys in life. Her evenings were often spent enjoying the challenge of Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, staying informed with the news and solving word puzzles. She was a New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching the games. Above all, Kathy especially enjoyed cheering on her beloved granddaughters from the sidelines at their sporting events. She enjoyed walks with her faithful dog, Phoebe, who was always by her side. Aside from spending time with her family, Kathy’s legacy of love, kindness, and faith will forever be remembered by all those whose lives she touched.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, July 10th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Entombment will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
