Kathleen A. (Miley) Faltus, RN

Faltus, Kathleen A., RN ( Miley), 60, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of John F. Faltus. She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Vincent W. Miley and Winifred ( McGarry ) Miley. A proud nurse of 40 years, she graduated from CCRI School of Nursing, where she was a member of the Alumni Association, and was most recently employed in the surgical outpatient department at the VA Medical Center in Providence for 5 and one half years. Previously , she worked for 34 years at St. Joseph's Hospital and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in West Warwick for 35 years, where she was a member of the adult choir. She was also active in the parish school , where she served as secretary for the Parent Teacher Guild, as a member of the School Board, and as a volunteer and participant in the school plays, most recently as a singing nun in the Sound of Music. Beside her husband she is survived by her two sons, John F. Faltus of Memphis, Tennessee, Michael V. Faltus of Tacoma, Washington; three daughters, Kelly J. ( Michael Brassil ) of Houston, Texas, Colleen M. Faltus of West Warwick, Kathleen M. Faltus of Pearland, Texas; two brothers, James M. ( Linda ) Miley of West Warwick, John V. (Nancy ) Miley of Cranston; and one sister, Jean M. ( Edward ) Ferry of Cranston; three grandchildren, Claire M. and Aidan M. Brassil and Kayden J. Faltus; and 11 nieces and nephews. Kathleen was a beloved friend of many who will be remembered for her love of nursing , her joy of life, and bringing twizzlers and Irish breads to celebrate every special occasion. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME and Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 854 Providence St., West Warwick at 10am. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8pm.
