79, died peacefully on January 8, 2025 at Crystal Lake Nursing Home, Pascoag, RI. He was the son of Kenneth E. DiBattista, Sr. and Mary (Pescatore) DiBattista. Kenneth was the devoted husband of Joyce (Apici) DiBattista for 54 years and they enjoyed many wonderful experiences together. He was the loving and caring father of Kenneth E. DiBattista, III, (Angel) and the grandfather of his cherished granddaughter, Sophie DiBattista. He was the brother of Vincent DiBattista (Robin), Joseph DiBattista (Barbara), Maria DiBattista, and Irene DiBattista (deceased). He was the brother-in-law of Valorie Apici and Gayle (David) Fandetti.
Kenneth graduated Cranston High School East and served in the U.S. Army and in Viet Nam. Kenneth received his undergraduate degree and MBA degree from Bryant University. He was employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Executive Director of the Hope Neighborhood Association, and the United States Post Office. Kenneth and Joyce, alongside Vera Apici, Valorie Apici, and Gayle Fandetti, operated the What Cheer Catering Company for many years.
Kenneth was a member of the American Legion and Knights of Columbus, 4th degree. He enjoyed bowling with his son Kenny, golfing with his brother-in-law David, and playing cards with friends. Kenneth will be missed by his loving family and friends for his enthusiasm for life and eagerness to assist with whatever was required.
His Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Tuesday, January 14th at 10 a.m. in St. Philip’s Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, followed by burial with military honors at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Monday, January 13th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
