Kenneth F. Mowry Jr., Deputy Chief CFD

86, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Cedar Crest Nursing Home, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of Vicki Rose (Sczerbinski) Fox Mowry for 28 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Kenneth F. Mowry Sr., and Grace (Roberto) Mowry. Mr. Mowry was the Deputy Chief of the Cranston Fire Department for 5 years and a firefighter for 36 years before retiring. Kenneth enjoyed spending his time outdoors, hunting, golfing, gardening, and he also enjoyed woodworking.

Besides his wife Vicki Rose, he is survived by his loving children, Sharon Desrosiers and her husband Alfred of Cranston, Kevin Mowry and his partner Terrance Rich of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Doreen Dobrolet and her husband Greg of Cranston, Robert Mowry and his wife Renee of Coventry, Donald Fox and his wife Christine of Burrillville, Anthony Fox of West Warwick, and Tommy John Fox and his finance Carla Poirier of Johnston. He was the cherished grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of 14. He was predeceased by his son Michael Mowry.

His funeral will be held on Monday, Jan. 31st, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
