Kerrie Anne Foley

72, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Encompass Health, Johnston. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helene (Bridgewater) Foley.

Kerrie dedicated 46 years of her life to taking care of children. As a pediatric nurse (LPN) she worked for fifteen years in the Potter building at Rhode Island Hospital then moved to Tavares Pediatric Center until she retired in 2019. She devoted her life to caring for others and was known for treating every child as if they were her own. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering compassion left a lasting impact on the lives of the children and families she served.

Kerrie was an amazing artist. Known largely for her calendars, she spent countless hours creating characters and whimsical scenes that came alive on paper. She was also very active in the Girl Scouts. Known as “Spider”, Kerrie would often be found camping, canoeing, leading a song, taking pictures and passing on her love of the outdoors. She also loved the family cabin in Rangeley, Maine where she vacationed every year with family and friends.

Kerrie was blessed with a remarkable circle of lifelong friends, especially her "Ya Yas." More than friends, they were sisters by choice and family by heart, sharing countless memories, laughter, love, and unwavering support throughout her life.

Kerrie is survived by her loving children, Katie Collard, Kyle Deschene and his wife Morgan, Kellie Hart and her husband Daniel. She was the cherished “Nona” to Maggie Deschene, Molly Deschene, Arya Hart, Caleb Hart, Gavin Collard, Isabell Collard, and Joseph Eggelston. She was a devoted Auntie to her niece Sara Haitz and nephew Sean LaPorte. She was the dear sister of Kathleen Foley, Karen LaPorte and her husband David, and the late Kevin Foley.
