CHANGE OF CALLING HOURS AND FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS DUE TO TODAY'S BLIZZARD

89, of Johnston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at home. He was the beloved husband of sixty-four years to Noella A. (Laroch) Mongeau. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Theode and Aurou (Poulin) Mongeau. Laurent was a baker for twenty-five years for the former Nissen Bakery of Central Falls. He was also employed by the former Pawtucket Savings & Trust Company for twenty-five years and was a self- employed landscaper for twenty years before his retirement.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Rose Marie N. Kraczkowski and her husband Russell of Chepachet, Diane Mongeau and her wife Anne of Johnston, Paul B. Mongeau and his wife Sheryl of Attleboro, MA, Nelson L. Mongeau and his wife Brenda of Pawtucket. He was the father of the late Richard M. Mongeau and the father-in-law of Maria Mongeau of Pawtucket. He was the cherished grandfather of eleven and great-grandfather of eight. Laurent was the brother of Lucille Aubin of Blackstone, MA, and René Mongeau of Pennsylvania, and the late Bernard, Morris, Lucian, and Estelle Mongeau.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on FRIDAY at 10:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m . in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. VISITING HOURS FRIDAY 9-10:45 a.m . In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Church & Charitable Ministries, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
