Lektar Gevorgyan
86, of Cranston, passed away on September 16, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Hasmik Vardanyan. Born in Armenia, the son of the late Haroutiun and Araxia Gevorgyan, he came to the U.S. in 1996.
Mr. Gevorgyan was Chief Engineer at ArmElecro Factory in Yerevan, Armenia for many years before retiring.
He was the devoted father of Deacon Gevork Gevorkian and his wife Rouzan of Cranston and Anahit Gevorgyan of Armenia; loving grandfather of five; loving great-grandfather of two; and dear brother of Volodya Gevorgyan of California and the late Ninel and Roza Gevorgyan.
His Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Monday, September 22nd at 11 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, followed by burial at North Burial Ground, Providence.
Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
