LEONA (SACCOCCIO) DiFUSCO
90, of Ausdale Rd., Cranston, passed away on Sunday October 20, 2013 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of 68 years to the late Frank DiFusco.
Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Giovanna (DiCrocco) Saccoccio.
Leona worked for MetLife Insurance Company for 15 years before retiring and was a volunteer at the Cranston Senior Center.
She was the devoted mother of Kathleen J. Schoos and her husband Geoffrey and Frank DiFusco and his wife Anne-Marie, all of Cranston; and loving grandmother of Jeannine R. Schoos and her husband Christopher Henry and Natalie DiFusco-Funk and her husband Brandon Funk; loving great-grandmother of Apollo. She was the dear sister of Jennie Buonaiuto of Cranston and the late Esther Crawford, Salvatore Saccoccio, Theresa DiSegna and Elizabeth Parrillo.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
