87 of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 3, 2024, with his family by his side. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Carmine and Emma (Rotondo) Pezza. He was the beloved husband of the late Constance “Connie” (Fair) Pezza.
A graduate of LaSalle Academy, he then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Providence College. He also served in the US Army, in Fort Knox, NJ.He was the owner and operator of C. Pezza & Son and later Material Sand & Stone, working alongside his father first, then his wife and most recently his two sons. He was a member of the Alpine Country Club, and the Local 57 Union. He had a great passion for wine making, his Italian food, making pizza, and was a self-proclaimed “foodie”. He enjoyed gardening, and he would look forward to wintering in Florida. Most important to him would by far have to be the time that he spent with his family, and friends.
He was the loving father of Cynthia Mansolillo and her husband Leo Gartsu, Cheryl Greco and her husband William Gammino, Robert Pezza and his wife Michelle, Michael Pezza and Lynn Pezza. He was the devoted brother of Virginia Squizzero and her husband Anthony. He was the proud grandfather of Danielle and William Loring, Matthew and Dionna Mansolillo, Audrey and Anthony Bella, Ariana and Victoria Greco, Nicholas and Gregory Pezza, Bianca and Talia Pezza, and also the great grandfather of many great grandchildren.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston will leave at 9:00 am on Tuesday April 9, 2024, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 4 Lafayette St, Johnston. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. VISITING HOURS will be Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Lady of Grace Church, 4 Lafayette St. Johnston, RI 02919.
