90, of Providence, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Cedar Crest Nursing Home, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of Amalia "Mollie" (Santoro) Richards. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Mary (D'Amore) Richards. Mr. Richards was quality control for Ciba-Geigy Corporation for many years until his retirement; he also was employed by Uniroyal and Unita Packing. Besides his wife Amalia, he is survived by his loving brothers, Americo Richards of Warwick, Vincent Richards of Cranston, and his loving sisters, Mary Bator of Foster and Josephine Miale of Virginia; he was also the cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will be held at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
