Lillian Frances (Ranallo) Brosco

of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, surrounded by the family she so dearly loved.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on May 30, 1931, Lillian was a daughter of the late Thomas F. Ranallo Sr. and the late Jennie (Damiani) Ranallo. She was the beloved widow of Godfrey Brosco, whom she married on June 3, 1950, and with whom she shared a devoted partnership that anchored her life. The last surviving member of her generation, Lillian was predeceased by her cherished siblings Ellen Ranallo, Esther Calderone, Ann Grasso, Thomas Ranallo Jr., Robert Ranallo, Claire Killian, Viola Chorney, Raymond Ranallo, Marguerite Parrillo, and Albert Ranallo.

Together in Cranston, Lillian and Godfrey built a home that overflowed with love, laughter, and treasured friendships. As the matriarch of a large and close-knit family, she was warm, generous of spirit, and endlessly welcoming, a second mother to everyone who knew her. A gifted cook and gracious hostess, she had a rare talent for turning an ordinary gathering into a lasting memory and for making every holiday feel wonderfully special.

She spent many happy summers at Alpine Country Club, where she was an avid and accomplished golfer and a proud member of the Rhode Island Women's Golf Association. A devoted gardener, she filled her home and grounds with an abundance of beautiful flowers and belonged to the Meshanticut Garden Club.

Above every accomplishment, Lillian counted her family as her greatest joy and her finest legacy. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her children, Jacqueline Brosco; Rebecca Brosco Wilson and her husband, Mark Wilson; and Martha Ein and her husband, Thomas Ein.

She also leaves her adored grandchildren: Bernadine Sadwin, Daniel Ferranti (Lindsay Ferranti), Edina Zuena (Eric Zuena), Joshua Ein, Liliana Ein (Michael Hoffman), and Sophia Cohen (Keith Cohen), as well as her great-grandchildren: Max, Zoe, Valentina, Nico, Gemma, Mariana, Ace, Rocco, and Lev, with another beloved great-grandchild, Baby Hoffman, joyfully awaited. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life and brought her boundless happiness throughout her many years.

Visiting hours are Saturday morning, August 1st from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
