Lillian C. (Castrovillari) Mastrati

93, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 at RI Hospital in Providence. Lillian was the wife of the late Frank Mastrati, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Lena (Laudati) Castrovillari. She was a graduate of Cranston High School and Rhode Island College. Lillian taught in Cranston Public Schools for her entire career, retiring after more than 38 years. An avid golfer, Lillian was a loyal member of the Valley Country Club and one of the organizers of the Ladies League. She was a Red Sox fan from her earliest days and a Patriots fan as well. She loved to read and always had a book in progress on her coffee table. Her happiest moments were spent with her family, holidays, and at the Broadway Shows. She was always known for her sense of humor and her jokes. A beach-lover, Lillian spent her summers at Matunuck, until the year she and Frank became snowbirds in Ft. Myers, FL.

She is survived by her two sons, Frank Mastrati, Jr. and his wife Susan, and Stephen J. Mastrati and his wife Gail, all of Cranston. Lillian was the grandmother of Amanda Venturino and her husband Michael, Samantha Mastrati, and great-grandmother of Eva Venturino.

Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
