Linda A. (Matteucci) Conte

81, of Johnston, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 unexpectedly at RI Hospital in Providence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Petrucci. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Gus and Linda (Santagata) Matteucci.

Linda worked as a supervisor in the finance department at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence for over 30 years before retiring.

She was the devoted and selfless mother of Linda Messina, John Conte and his wife Sherri and the late Paul Conte who is survived by his wife Jan, Maria Iuppa and her husband Louis, Lisa Rodio and her husband David and Denise Abbenante and her husband Peter; cherished grandmother of fourteen; loving great-grandmother of nine; and dear sister of Barbara Schiano and her late husband Stephen, Robert Matteucci and the late Inez Gatta. She is also survived by a loving nephew and nieces. She was a loyal friend to many.

Her funeral arrangements are private.
