Linda J. (Amelio) Golden

80, of East Greenwich, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of John Golden. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elena (Sghelli) Amelio.

Linda was a warm and compassionate woman with a bottomless well of love in her heart for family and friends. The connections she made were deep and enduring with many friendships lasting decades. Whether they knew her in Rhode Island or Florida, on the golf course or at the Mah Jong table, her many friends agreed that she was a special person.

Besides her husband John, she is survived by her loving children, Edward W. Pires and Kimberlee Aiello; step-children, Elise DeCola and Dr. Keith Golden; cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Aiello, Hannah Aiello, Mia Pires, Dylan Pires, Emma DeCola, Sofia DeCola, Elizabeth Golden and Jackson Golden. She is also survived by her dear sister Elaine Sparling and her husband Alan. Linda also leaves so many dear friends that felt so close to her.

Her funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00 – 11:00 am.
