Linda Zanni

Linda Marie Zanni, a beloved mother, companion, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 25 at the age of 68. Born and raised in Pawtucket, Linda carried her love for Rhode Island throughout her life, from countless days at the beach to her lifelong passion for local seafood.

She made her home in Scituate, Rhode Island, for many years, where she built a life filled with family, food, and laughter. Linda had a deep love for music and dancing, and she brought energy and light into every room she entered.

She devoted nearly two decades to sharing her passion for dance as the owner of a local dance studio, where she inspired generations of students. Long after her students left her studio, they carried with them the confidence, joy, and love of dance she instilled.

Her gentle nature and generous heart touched countless lives. She adored her daughter and opened her home to her daughter’s many friends and neighbors. She was known to be an exceptional cook and ensured no visitor would go hungry, day or night. Many of her daughter’s childhood friends remember her as a second mom who welcomed everyone with open arms. She never judged anyone and had a rare gift for making people feel seen, accepted, and loved.

She also served the State of Rhode Island at the State House, where she was known for her dedication, kindness, and warm spirit.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kara Zanni Sides; her son-in-law, Adoniram Sides; and her beloved nieces, Diana Beeley-Andrade, Maureen Simpson, and Donna Gouveia. She is remembered by her devoted companion, Dennis Kimball, as well as the many extended family members, former students, and friends who will carry her memory forward.

Linda will be remembered for her sweetness and the unconditional love she gave so freely. The world is better for having had her in it, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held on April 2 at Nardolillo Funeral Home in Cranston, Rhode Island, from 4 to 7 p.m.
