94, of 50 Park Row West died at home on October 16, 2014. She was the wife for more than 60 years of the late Dr. Michael DiMaio. She was born on March 25, 1920, in Meriden Connecticut, the daughter of Peter and Maria Chiovoloni.
Livia earned an R.N. degree from the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing, and for many years assisted her husband at his office on Angell Street in Providence. An avid gardener, the East Side of Providence was graced by her gardens at 100 Prospect Street for more than 40 years.
She is survived by her brother Thomas Chiovoloni, by her son Michael and his wife Cynthia, her daughter Judith, and her son Daniel and his wife Miriam; by grandchildren Alexandra, John, and Jonathan; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Redwood Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. VISITING HOURS in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston will be Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the University of Rhode Island, or a favorite charity.
