Lorraine D. (LaFrance) LeBrun

87, of Johnston, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 3, 2017.  She was the beloved wife of Robert J. LeBrun for 64 years.  Born in Taunton, MA she was the daughter of the late Aurele J. and Juliette (Nadeau) LaFrance.

Lorraine worked in retail at Jordan Marsh for many years but before her retirement.  She was a graduate of the Chamberlain School of Retailing.  Lorraine was very giving to others and asked very little for herself. From the young age of 13, her strength was obvious when she assumed the role of raising her younger brothers after the loss of their mother. She was a woman who always kept herself busy with everything from playing the organ, bingo, cross stitching, and knitting,  but was best known for her baked goods.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Jeanne Courtemanche and her husband Joseph of Mansfield, MA, Robert J. LeBrun, Jr. of Brockton, MA, Donna DiCicco and her husband Nicholas of Warwick, Valerie Jacavone and her husband Peter Jr. of Johnston; 8 cherished grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; dear brother Richard B. LaFrance of Gainesville, VA.  She was the sister of the late Norman LaFrance and Aurele W. LaFrance.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston.  Burial will be private.  VISITING HOURS are Saturday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert’s Food Shelf, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, RI 02919.
