Louis J. Morelli

87, of Cranston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Cedar Crest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of sixty-five years to Josephine L. (Annese) Morelli. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Maria (Rafanelli) Morelli. Louis was a sales executive for Buitoni Foods and Celentano Foods for thirty-five years. He also owned along with his son-in-law the former Thomas Associates Food Brokerage Company of Warwick for ten years. Louis was a partner in Colony Personnel Associates until his retirement. Louis was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Lois M. Iaci and her husband Thomas of Johnston, James J. Morelli and his wife Marie of West Warwick, and Thomas L. Morelli of Providence. Louis was the cherished grandfather of Christopher Iaci and his wife Dalia, Jennifer Hadden and her husband Samuel, Kathleen Morelli and her fiancAC. Laura, and Michael Morelli, all of West Warwick, and three great-grandchildren Lily Iaci, Lukas Iaci, and Samuel Hadden. Louis was the brother of Susan Dunphy of Middleboro, MA, Anthony Morelli of CA, Dorothy Conforti of Portland, ME, Richard Morelli of Providence, and the late Robert Morelli. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
