Louise (Palumbo) Altieri

89, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Frank Altieri, Jr. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Elizabeth (Pezzuco) Palumbo. Mrs. Altieri was a member of the St. Mary's Women Auxiliary Society.

She is survived by her two sons Donald Altieri and his wife Sharon, and Paul Altieri, all of Cranston. Louise was the grandmother of Vanessa Sclama and her husband Brian, and Stephanie Lombardi and her husband Michael. She was the great grandmother of Noah and Caleb Sclama and Alexander Lombardi. Louise was the sister of Josephine Ruscetta and the late Mary Palombo, Frances Conti, Theresa Conti, Rose Meschino, Jennie Merluzzo, Anna Fiore, Joseph and John Palumbo.

Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
