97, of Coventry, died on Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry. She was the wife of the late Guido Gallo for 68 years. Born in Providence, RI she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Carmina (DeToro) Caruso.
Lucy was a hairstylist and salon owner of Lu Gallo's Beauty Salon of Warwick, RI alongside of her husband for over 55 years.
She was a member of the United Commercial Travelers and the Catholic Women's League of the Holy Ghost Church.
Lucy was a loving mother of Hon. Bennett Gallo and his wife Kathleen of West Greenwich, David Gallo and his wife Maryann of Coventry, Robert Gallo and his wife Betty Ann of Coventry, James Gallo, MD of West Greenwich and LuAnn Gallo of Coventry. She was the nana of nine and great nana of 2. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday at 8:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Coventry. Entombment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery Mausoleum, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m.
