Lucy M. (DeMaria) Sabetta

88, of East Providence, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Tockwotton on the Waterfront, East Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Larry A. Sabetta.  Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Costanzo and Marietta  (Polatta) DeMaria. Lucy was devoted foremost to her family and was a very kind and generous person.

Lucy is survived by her loving children, Ralph Sabetta of Warwick, Dr. James Sabetta of Greenwich, CT and Anne Santoro of East Lyme, CT. She was the cherished grandmother of  Thomas and Victoria Santoro, and Julia Sabetta. Lucy was the sister of the late Louise DelMonico, Mae Carrier, Elizabeth Cedrone, Anna, William, Arthur, Frank, and Rudolph DeMaria.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston  on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 12:00 noon in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday morning 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests, if you would like to do something in Lucy’s memory, visit someone in a nursing home or volunteer your time.
