Lucy (Vallarine) Shappy
100, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday January 31, 2016 at Brentwood Nursing Home in Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond L. Shappy. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Antoinette (Monaco) Vallarine.
Lucy was employed as a nurse at RI Hospital for many years until her retirement. She was also a member of the Pilgrim Senior Center in Warwick, AARP, and a communicant of St. Kevin's Church.
She is survived by her loving children, Raymond A. Shapp and his wife Barbara of Watchung, NJ, Richard V. Shappy and his wife Nancy of Warwick, and the late Robert J. Shappy and Ronald L. Shappy; cherished grandmother of 8, great-grandmother of 10 and great-great grandmother of 1; dear sister of Philip Vallarine and the late Vincent "Jimmy" Vallarine, Albert Vallarine, Ida Conte and Theresa Guarino.
