Luigi A. Rotondo

87, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 30, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center RI, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Anthony and Frances (Ferdella) Rotondo.

Luigi was employed by American Waste & Paper for 30 years before his retirement. He was an avid sports fan, especially Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots and golf. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his dear niece and nephew, Frances Protano and her husband George of Johnston, and Albert Pereschino and his wife Gail of Cranston; great nieces and nephews, Anthony Pereschino, Roman Mostecky, Lori Mostecky, Arianna Pereschino, Kristina Pereschino and Mia Rose Mostecky. Luigi was the brother of the late Carmella Pereschino.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on TUESDAY MORNING from 9 - 10 am.
