91, of Providence, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at his son’s home. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Dewey) Giglietti. Luigi was born in Providence, a son of the late Luigi S. Giglietti, Sr. and Ada (Vona) Giglietti. Mr. Giglietti was a cartographer at Defense Mapping Agency in West Warwick for many years until his retirement. He was also a WWII Navy veteran; serving aboard the USS Mississippi and USS Klondike.
He is survived by his loving children, Louis Giglietti of Belchertown, MA, Mary Ann Petrucci of Cranston, Joseph Giglietti of Providence, his dear sibling, Joanne Squizzero of Cranston. He was also the cherished grandfather of 8, great grandfather of 2 and brother of the late Mary Colucci, Caroline Blette, Ezio Giglietti and Amelia Ricci.
His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 5-8 pm.
