Lyudmila Romanova

It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of our beloved mom Lyudmila Romanova of Cranston, 86 who left us peacefully at her son's home surrounded by loving family on Monday, June 30th 2025 leaving behind a legacy of strength, grace, and boundless love.

Born in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, she emigrated to the United States in 1993, without knowing a single word of English. With remarkable determination and resilience, she not only learned the language but came to speak flawless English and write like a true professional—an accomplishment that amazed everyone around her.

She was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Alla Romanova and her husband - Anatoliy Rozman.

Son, Sergey Romanov and his wife Elena Romanov with the bond that went beyond in-laws and was a true source of warmth, wisdom, respect, affection, and love.

Her love extended even further as the proud grandmother to Anna McDougall, Aleksey Romanov, and Andrew Romanov, all of Cranston, and as the adoring great-grandmother to Ella Romanova McDougall and Olivia Hope McDougall. She was their biggest cheerleader and constant source of warmth.

She leaves behind her loving sister, Svetlana, in Ukraine, and joins her dear departed siblings, sister Alla and brother Alexander, in eternal rest.

A nurse by profession and a healer by nature, she had the gentlest hands and the kindest heart. Whether caring for patients, comforting family, or helping a stranger, she gave of herself endlessly. She was, simply put, the best human being-compassionate, selfless, and wise.

Her memory will live on in the lives she touched, in every kind word she spoke, and in the lessons, she passed down with love. She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Forever in our hearts, always with us.
