Manuel B. 'Gabriel' Tavares

74, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at RI Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Graciosa (Nunes) Tavares. Born in Portugal, a son of the late Virgilio and Natividade (Baco) Tavares.
Besides his beloved wife he is survived by his children, Maria E. Mutter and her husband Rudolph of Cumberland, Virgilio Tavares of Cranston and Gloria Turilli and her husband Richard of Barrington. He was also the cherished grandfather of Stephanie and Elijah , great grandfather of Sophia ; and brother of Conceicao Santos of Cranston, Lino Tavares of MA, Jesus Fonseca of Portugal . He was also the brother of the late Jose Vieira and Francisco Tavares.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Providence.
