Margaret C. (Mazzeo) Dumond

75, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 26, 2025, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. She was the beloved wife and lifelong partner of George E. Dumond.

Born in Providence, Margaret was the daughter of the late Edmund and Yolanda (Corsetti) Mazzeo. From a young age, Margaret’s life was defined by love, strength, and selflessness. After the loss of her parents, she stepped into the role of guardian for her younger sisters, a testament to her unwavering sense of responsibility and care for those she loved.

Margaret carried that same devotion into every chapter of her life. She was a nurturing and supportive mother to her children, Jennifer Jerdee and her husband Todd, and Marc Dumond and his wife Tricia. Her greatest joy came from being “Grandma” to her cherished granddaughters, Sophia and Madelyn, who brought light and laughter into her days.

She is also survived by her dear sisters, Janice Pulsifer (Bob) and Cheryl Mazzeo, and was predeceased by her sister Doreen Demers (Peter). Margaret’s love extended to her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Margaret’s legacy is one of quiet strength, deep compassion, and an unshakable commitment to her family’s well-being. Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, August 30th at the R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. The time will be announced.
