Marghuerita "Rita" (Ricci) Cosentino

96, of Johnston formerly of Providence passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. She was the wife of the late Louis J. Cosentino, Esq.

Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Luciano and Elizabeth (Penta) Ricci.

She was the mother of Judith M. Cosentino of Greenacres, FL, John L. Cosentino Esq. and his wife Sandra J. of Gunnison, CO and the late Richard C. Cosentino; grandmother of Christopher Cosentino and his wife Tatiana and Nicholas Cosentino and his wife Leitha; great grandmother of Marcus, Melana and Easton; sister of Anna Prassone, Mary T. Cochran both of CA and the late Anthony, Augustine and Louis Ricci; sister in law of Jan Ricci of CA and Lena Cosentino of Smithfield and her late husband John R. Cosentino Esq.; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Rita was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church, a member of the Rosary and Altar Society, Legion of Mary, Blue Army Crusade, Manton Seniors of Johnston, Salvatore Mancini Center, Johnston Senior Center, was the Past President of the Missionary of Mary Bell Street, Former member of the Mother’s Club of Blessed Sacrament and coach of Girls Basketball team, former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Dillon Council Knights of Columbus, volunteer at the Lying In Hospital and Miriam Hospital and a former member of West palm Beach Country Club and  Kirkrae Country Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10am in St. Augustine’s Church, Providence followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS: Monday 5-7pm at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary 385 Fruit Hill Ave. North Providence, RI 02911.
