87, of Cranston and Narragansett, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip A. Mambro. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Vincenza (Dirisi) Ricciardi.
Marguerite was a teacher in the Providence School System, working until she was 80 years old. She taught Mayor Angel Tavares while he was a 2nd grade student. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was best known for her ability to motivate and enable, always striving to achieve something better for her family. She loved to cook and entertain for her family and friends. She loved painting, especially watercolor, which she showed at various art shows across New England. She had an impeccable sense of style and loved clothing. She also loved to spend time near the ocean and on the beach.
She is survived by her loving sons, Philip W. Mambro and his wife Ofelia of Providence, and James D. Mambro and his wife Caryn of Boston, MA; cherished grandchildren Jessica L. Mambro, James P. Mambro, Justin P. Mambro, and Jason J. Mambro. She was the sister of the late Mary Pantano, Helen Palumbo, and Joseph Ricciardi.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will take place in Maria del Campo Cemetery in Barrington.
