Maria L. (Martins) Barreiros
80, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Manuel Barreiros. Born in Barreira Junqueira-Porto de Mos, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Damazia (do Rosario) Martins.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Fernando and his wife Belmira of Dartmouth, MA, and Joseph of Cranston, RI; cherished grandchildren John and his wife Felicia of Norwalk, CT, and Kevin and his wife Sonja of New Bedford, MA and her three great grandchildren Lillie, Travis, and Jake Barreiros; dear siblings Helena Alves of Portugal, Albino do Rosario of Hartford, CT, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving family, she leaves Petra Vaz-Ferreira of Cumberland, RI, and Leonore Alves Louro of Portugal, whom she loved as granddaughters.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, 1291 Elmwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be private.
