Maria C.(Cortellessa) DiGuiseppe

86, of Providence, passed away on Wednesday February 18, 2015 at RI Hospital in Providence. She was the devoted wife of the late Alfred DiGuiseppe. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Assunta (D'Arezzo) Cortellessa. Maria worked for several jewelry companies for many years before retiring and enjoyed helping people and spending time with her family.
She was the beloved mother of Susan DelSignore and her husband Raymond of Glocester and Diane DiGuiseppe of Jacksonville, FL; loving grandmother of Raymond DelSignore and his wife Amy, Joseph DelSignore and his wife Marissa, Amanda Perez and Matthew Perez. She was the dear sister of Michelina LaFazia, Delfina Tridenti, Viola Pizzi, Giovanni "John" Cortellessa, Pasquale "Pat" Cortellessa and the late Angela Scungio and Elena Perfetto. Maria is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew's Church 305 Laurel Hill Ave. Providence at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
