MARIA (RUSSO) GIRARDI

84, of Johnston, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Morgan Health Center in Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Domenico Girardi. Maria was born in Prata Sanita, Italy a daughter of the late Joseph and Carminella (Simione) Russo. Mrs. Girardi was a jewelry worker at Curtis Manufacturing for many years until her retirement; and loved to cook, garden and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her loving son, Alfonso Girardi and his wife Joyce of Cranston, her dear sister, Giovannina Cardillo of Johnston, and was also the cherished grandmother of Joseph, Dominique and Catarina; and is also survived by her brother in-law, sister in-law and nieces and nephew who will all dearly miss her. Maria was also the sister of the late Angelina Gogliormella, and Pasquale and Alfonso Russo.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 am form the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. Entombment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery Mausoleum in Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday morning 9-10 am.
