Maria (Puopolo) Girardi

89, of Johnston, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas P. Girardi.  Born in Providence, Maria was the daughter of the late James and Nancy (Izzo) Puopolo.

She is survived by her loving son Richard R. Girardi of Johnston and was the mother of the late Patricia Girardi.  Maria was the cherished grandmother of Nicole, James, Nicholas, and Danielle.  She was the great grandmother of Billy, Victoria, Jimmy, Jr., and Katherine.  Maria was the great-great grandmother of Emma and Olivia. She was the dear sister of Michael Puopolo and the late Ralph Puopolo.

Her funeral services will be private.
