Maria A. (Schiano) Nani

of Cranston passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger W. Nani for 37 years.

Maria was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Vincent and Christina (Rufo) Schiano. She was the devoted mother of Kristin Dohoney and Stephen Nani; proud and loving grandmother of Lauren Dohoney, Lila Dohoney, Trent Nani, and Tyler Nani; loving mother-in-law to Kevin Dohoney and Kerri Nani; dear sister of Domenic Schiano and his wife Elizabeth, and Anthony Schiano and his wife Patricia. She cherished her lifelong friendship with Anne Reynolds and her husband Kenneth.

Maria was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy and was employed for many years as an office manager at Canning Management Group. She was a communicant of Saint Philip Parish in Greenville and more recently of Holy Apostles in Cranston. Maria took great pride in her grandchildren and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. She loved the beach, from her childhood summers at Roy Carpenter's Beach in Matunuck to her winter vacations in Florida.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, September 8th at 10am in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
