Mariann (Panzarella) Impagliazzo

80, passed away at her home on Monday June 16, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, and later grew up in Smithfield, RI, she was the daughter of the late Blanche (Fisher) and Liborio Panzarella.

Mariann is survived by her loving children Frank Impagliazzo of Cranston, David & Kim Impagliazzo of North Attleboro, MA, Julie & Frank Notarianni of Cranston. Cherished grandchildren Jenna Impagliazzo of New York, David Impagliazzo of Massachusetts, Christopher Notarianni of California, Nicholas Notarianni of Cranston, Zachary Notarianni of Cranston, Evan Impagliazzo of Cranston, Alexis Impagliazzo of Cranston, and Brianna Barfield of Massachusetts. Adored great-grandchildren Mya Gordils and Elliana Barrett of New York. Dear siblings Pat (Jan) Panzarella of Texas, JoAnn (Ed) Metcalf of Jamestown, Angela Tremmel of California, Meg (Bill) Ward of Pennsylvania, Becky Panzarella of Greenville, and Cheryl Panzarella (Jonathan Edwards) of Massachusetts, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her four brothers First Lieutenant James Panzarella, Joseph Panzarella, Michael Panzarella, and Robert Panzarella.

Mariann was employed by the State of Rhode Island for over 40 years retiring in 2015 from the Department of Human Services as a long term care social caseworker.

She was the heart and soul of her family. Her kindness, generosity, patience, love and devotion touched all those who had the privilege and good fortune of knowing her. She especially loved family gatherings, traveling with family & friends, going for tea and waffles, playing bunco, Bone Builders exercise classes, walking at least 10,000 steps daily, reading and cooking. She was especially known for her clam cakes, pound cake, sweet bread, and Italian cookies.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday, June 24th at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St. Cranston. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, 63 Church Street, North Smithfield, RI. VISITING HOURS are Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mariann’s memory to the American Cancer Society of RI, P.O. Box 7312, Warwick, RI 02886.
