Marie (Pella) Colardo
96, of Providence, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. Marie was the wife of the late Edward Colardo. Born in Providence, she was a daughter to the late Antonio and Catherine (Cortellesa) Pella. Mrs. Colardo was employed at Norton Manufacturing for many years, before her retirement.
She is survived by her two children; John Colardo and his wife Claudia of Johnston, and Janice Marino and her husband Robert of Lincoln. Marie was the sister of Timothy Pella of Warwick, Lena Despres of Cranston and the late Ida Pella. Mrs. Colardo was the cherished grandmother of six and great grandmother of ten.
Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Monday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 or Access Point, 111 Comstock Parkway, Cranston RI 02921.
