Del Padre, Marie A. (Boezi)

76, formerly of Cranston, RI passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025 at St. Elizabeth’s Home, East Greenwich. She was the wife of the late Albert Rocco Del Padre.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Domenico Boezi.

Marie graduated from Cranston High School East and Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School.

Marie worked at Moses Brown School in Providence for over thirty years as the Administrative Assistant to the Head of Middle School. Marie was the quintessential caretaker and thoughtfully anticipated everyone’s needs in a quietly supportive way at Moses Brown.

She took care of the children with kindness and attention. She took care of every single faculty member. She had a bird’s eye view of the entire middle school faculty, staff and students; and tended to all with a calm, caring equanimity.

She was a devoted mother to her only daughter Dolores M. Picone (Del Padre) and her husband Thomas Picone of East Greenwich. Marie was a cherished grandmother to Domenic and Benjamin Picone of East Greenwich.

She was the loving sister of Dolores O’Rourke, Florence Lambrese and the late Henry Boezi.

She is also survived by her sister-in laws, Paulette Larocque, Cheryl Del Padre, Jeanette Theroux and Donna Shipman, in addition to many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Calling hours will be held at the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI, 02910 from 9 am-10 am, Monday August 18th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at

11:00 am at Saint Francis de Sales, 381 School Street, 02852 North Kingstown, RI. A private burial will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery.
