Marie E. Ricci

Marie E. Ricci, 88, of East Greenwich, RI and Jupiter, FL, passed away peacefully in Providence, Rhode Island on December 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on Oct. 11, 1937 in Providence, RI, to the late Armand and Theresa (Michon) Proulx. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Thomas P. Ricci. Marie was a beloved figure in her community and was known for her strong values and dedication to both her family and philanthropic endeavors.

Marie was a graduate of the former Pawtucket East High School and spent much of her life as a devoted homemaker. Alongside her husband, Thomas P. Ricci, she helped build eight automotive dealerships across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with Norwood Motor Group in Warwick being one of the most notable. Her life was marked by a commitment to providing for her family and contributing to her community.An avid traveler, Marie explored the wonders of Europe and Asia, embracing the beauty of the world around her. 

However, she also found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often delighting in the sights and sounds of nature from her own home. She took particular pleasure in observing the ducks, geese, deer, and foxes that frequented her pond, which brought her great comfort and happiness.Marie was a devoted mother to her daughters and was a cherished grandmother to her grandsons, who were the light of her life. 

Marie is survived by her daughters Nina Ricci, and Marie Ricci-Saraiva and her husband Carlos, her grandsons, David T. Igliozzi and his wife Carol, Alexander V. Igliozzi, and fiancée Samantha Uliana.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday December 27, 2025, at 11:00 am at Sts. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 am at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 N. Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
