MARIE I. (IMONDI) IACONA
77, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. Iacona, Sr., they were married for fifty-seven years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Lombardo) Imondi. Marie was a cook at Western Hills Junior High School and a seamstress for many years before her retirement.
Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Donna M. Guglielmo and her husband Richard of Wakefield, Joseph A. Iacona, Jr. of Warwick, and David M. Iacona of Providence. Marie was the cherished grandmother of seven and the great-grandmother of eight. She was the loving sister of Barbara A. Tellier of Warwick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her committal prayers and interment on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann Cemetery Chapel, 72 Church Street, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted.
