61, of Cranston, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Glenn O’Gara for 28 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Benedetto and Louise (Cedroni) Broccoli.
Marie had a genuine love of life, most of all when she was surrounded by family and friends. She adored animals of every kind and leaves behind her three cats, Allie, Bella, and Bakkita. In her younger years she loved to dance.
Besides her husband, Glenn, she is survived by her loving brothers, David Broccoli of Warwick and Anthony Broccoli and his wife, Rebecca, of Johnston. She was the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her adored sister, Lori Jacques.
She was the beloved sister-in-law of Ann-Marie Camann and her husband, Gregg, of Bedford, NH; Barbara Haynes and her husband, Thomas, of Riverside; Joan Cote and her husband, Michael, of Burrillville; Constance Rudis of North Scituate; Ralph Jacques of Sarasota, FL; the late Donald O’Gara Jr.; and John O’Gara. She was the beloved daughter-in-law of Constance O’Gara of Woonsocket and the late Donald O’Gara Sr.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, September 14th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Cranston. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Sunday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marie’s name can be made to the Cranston Animal Shelter, 920 Phenix Ave, Cranston, RI 02921.
